Week 1


First Steps

  • Familiarize yourself with:

    • Compass Tech Startup - review the Tech Support Page for information and resources

      • Your Personal Compass Google Calendar

      • Chicago Agent Calendar

        • This is where you can view regional trainings and events 

        • Your Agent Experience Manager will help you get set up with both!

    • Reserving Conference Rooms in our offices

    • Review the Compass Tools Page to understand the resources available to you on the Compass Platform and beyond.

Attend a Marketing Orientation

  • Held every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month! To join, navigate to your Chicago Agent Calendar.

    • The Marketing Mastery Institute is a marketing-designed curriculum that takes fundamental marketing principles and relates them to real-world use cases. Through strategic and thought-provoking prompts, you’ll apply what you learn in class and put them into practice to help build your business.

Week 2


Agent Experience Action Items

  1. Schedule your “I’ve Joined Compass/CRM Session” with your AEM

  1. Familiarize yourself with our Contract to Close (CTC) services

Marketing Action Items

  1. After you attend the Marketing Orientation, you will have the resources to start on the following action items to make sure your digital presence is Compass compliant:

    • Website

    • Signage

    • Email signature

    • Collateral

    • Social media accounts

    • Voicemail

  2. Begin the logo process

    • Email agentexperience@compass.com to get started

  3. Download the Compass fonts

  4. Schedule a lifestyle shoot with an approved photographer

Sales Management Items

  1. Attend Compass Core (if available)

    • Compass Core will happen twice a year. Keep an eye out in your email for the next round!

Week 3


Agent Experience Action Items

  1. Ensure Week 1 & 2 tasks are completed

  2. Tool Training: 

    • Compass Search (collections)

    • CRM contact organization review

    • Private Exclusive & Coming Soon Review

    • Bridge Loan/ Concierge High Level Review

Marketing Action Items

  1. Now that you’ve attended the Marketing Orientation and have completed the action items in Week 2, it’s time to become a Marketing Center expert! This tool will be a primary resource for your marketing success at Compass. Please complete the action items below:

    1. Create a listing presentation in Marketing Center

    2. Create a buyers guide in Marketing Center

    3. Get familiar with the SOI Marketing Plan

Week 4


Agent Experience Action Items

  1. Have a Week 4 Sync with your AEM

  • Review any roadblocks with the tools, outstanding questions/concerns, etc

Marketing Action Items

  1. Send out your “I’ve Joined Compass” postcard from Marketing Center

Week 5 & Beyond


Agent Experience Action Items

  1. You can also reach out to your dedicated AEM via agentexperience@compass.com, their direct support email, or their direct support phone number for any Compass needs like:

    • Compass tool questions

    • Adding a new team member to the team

    • Getting in touch with other Compass teams

    • Compass program questions"

Marketing Action Items

  1. Congratulations on completing all of the action items from Week 1-4! Now that you’ve attended the Marketing Orientation, Live Virtual Training, and have a firm understanding of Marketing at Compass, it’s time to establish a marketing plan that will help to accomplish your business goals.

    1. Follow our Compass Annual Marketing Plan (includes action items)

      1. Fill out the Branding Questionnaire to have a benchmark of where you are currently with your marketing.

      2. Use the Marketing Plan Checklist to keep track of your marketing initiatives.

Marketing Onboardings

  • New Principal to Compass? Join the Marketing Team to learn more about our Compass Marketing offerings and the resources available to you including How We Support You, The Compass Brand, Marketing Your Brand and Listings, Additional Marketing Support, and Resources. All wrapped up with a Marketing Center Demo. Hope to see you there!

Transactions Overview

Tuesdays at 11AM and Wednesdays at 1PM

  • Schedule a meeting with our Transactions team HERE.

  • Meet with the Listings and Transactions team to go over the Compass Listings and Transactions process.

Ask Marketing Anything

Mondays 1-2pm | Wednesday 10-11am

  • Looking for some advice on your marketing projects? Join Compass’s marketing team on Mondays and Wednesdays to speak with a Marketing Advisor to help with your specific needs! They’ll be online to provide feedback, give tips and tricks, and answer any questions you may have for your project.

Transitioning Your License

IDFPR and MLS

License transfers with IDFPR and MRED (MLS board) transfers are completed online by our team. Once all the paperwork is approved by appropriate parties, you will be back up on MLS within a couple of hours and officially sponsored by Compass on IDFPR. Please contact agentexperience@compass.com with any questions or concerns.
