Please follow the below 3-step checklist to ensure the best possible transition to Compass.

Below you’ll find 3 easy steps that will walk you through everything you need to get set up and start growing your business successfully.

Step 1: Account Setup & Initial Orientation

By the end of Step 1, you should have access to all tools and be ready to start engaging with Compass systems.

  • First Steps

    1. Complete National Onboarding Steps with your National Onboarding Specialist

    2. Complete all paperwork:- Add credit card to Compass Wallet
    - Set up direct deposit
    - Ensure MLS & license transfers are complete

    3. Download & Set Up Compass apps:
    - Compass Real Estate
    - Okta Verify
    - Configure Compass email on your phone

    4. Get Acquainted with your new office
    - Get a tour of office resources & workspaces
    - Connect to office WiFi & printer
    - Secure your office keycard/access code
    - Set up office access & printer

    5. Work with the AEM Team on how to use your Business Tracker

  • Marketing Set Up

    1. Attend a Marketing Orientation

    2. Ensure your Digital Presence is Compass-Compliant:
    - Website
    - Email signature
    - Social media accounts
    - Voicemail

    3. Consider Scheduling your Headshot & Lifestyle Photography
    - Getting your lifestyle photography scheduled will help give you a great foundation for marketing materials moving forward.

    4. Review the Compass Style & Design Guide
    - As a new agent, you’ve probably noticed that Compass has a strong brand presence. Ensure that you’re familiar with our logos, patterns, and processes through our Style & Design Guide.

Step 2: CRM & Business Tools

By the end of Step 2, your CRM should be squared away so you can start focusing on marketing yourself to your clients.

  • Now that you’re set up, it's time to organize your contacts and integrate your business into Compass systems.

    1. Work with the AEM team to import and organize your contacts & CRM
    - Email agentexperience@compass.com to get started

    2. Upload your headshot & bio to your agent page
    - Learn more about what you can add to your Agent Page here (password: dreambig)

    3. Attend a Transactions Onboarding Training
    - View your regional calendar for event details

    4. Link your email signature in Marketing Center
    - Click Here for Signature Options

    5. Learn more about the logo creation process
    - Email marketing@compass.com to get started
    - Please note that different service levels may incur a fee

    6. Explore and get familiar with your regional website
    - Your regional website is your one-stop destination for links, resources, and answers to commonly asked questions. Taking the time to get familiar with what’s available here will set you up for success down the road.

Step 3: Master Compass Tools & Marketing Center

By the end of Step 3, you should be comfortable with Compass tools and starting to actively market yourself.

Ongoing Support: Keep Growing & Learning

Even after onboarding, you have plenty of resources and support to continue refining your business.

  • Continue To:

    1. Visit your regional microsite for new resources and updates
    - If you haven’t fully explored it yet, take the time to familiarize yourself with the available resources on this site

    2. Review meetings and events on your Regional Calendar.
    Keep an eye out for:
    - “Ask Marketing Marketing Anything” Meetings, your time to ask the Marketing Team what’s on your mind
    - Monthly Virtual Trainings with The Marketing Mastery Institute
